ArmInfo. On June 27, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated remotely in the regular meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

In our country, the MSME sector contributes substantively to both the overall growth of the economy and the development of its separate sectors. The RA banks are the primary source of SME financing: in 2024 alone, the volume of loans provided to SMEs amounted to around AMD 1.6 trillion.

ArmInfo. A draft law on the seizure of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC has been published on the official website of the Armenian Parliament, which is a classic indirect expropriation from the point of view of international investment law. This opinion was expressed by the head of the public organization "International Center for the Development  of Parliamentarism", an expert on constitutional law Goar Meloyan.

ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities have proposed to amend two laws that are aimed at  starting the nationalization procedure of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC - the law "On the Public Services Regulatory Authority" and the law "On Energy".

ArmInfo. Armenia will receive $1.5 million from the World Bank (WB) for the dismantling of the Nairit  chemical plant and  subsequent chemical cleaning of the soil. During a regular session on June 26, the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia approved a proposal to sign a grant-letter agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD, the main lending institution of the World Bank) to prepare a program for the restoration and regeneration of the environment of the enterprise.

ArmInfo. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan does not consider that the events surrounding the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) represent an attempt by the state to take over a private business. "Absolutely and definitely not," he said during a briefing for journalists after a government meeting on June 26.

ArmInfo.  During its regular session on June 26,  the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia approved a proposal to conclude a temporary trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic  Union and its member states, on  one hand, and Mongolia, on the other hand.

ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proposed to put up for sale (free subscription) the shares of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC so that RA citizens would also  have the opportunity to buy them. The project for  of ENA is already ready, the issue will be considered at an extraordinary session of parliament on July 1.

ArmInfo.  Armenia is introducing a temporary ban on the export of several agricultural products, such as wheat, meslin, barley, corn, buckwheat, sunflower seeds, and sunflower oil. The decision was made on June 26 during a meeting of  the Cabinet of Ministers.  As stated in the explanatory note to the document, the decision is intended to ensure food security and stabilize  the economy of Armenia.
