Armenian trucks temporarily barred from entering Georgia

ArmInfo. Due to the recent accumulation of freight carriers at Georgian checkpoints, the   Armenian Customs Service has announced a temporary ban on Armenian  trucks crossing the Armenian-Georgian border, as noted in a statement  from the State Revenue Committee (SRC).  According to the source, the  measure, which is being implemented to support business entities, is  only temporary and will remain in place until the capacity issue  on  the Georgian side is resolved.

Central Bank to establish a regulatory framework for crypto assets sector within 1.5 year timeframe

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of  Armenia has been tasked with creating a regulatory framework for the  crypto assets sphere within a 1.5 year buffer period, as stated by  the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, Martin  Galstyan, during a press conference on June 10.  He clarified that  the relevant by-laws will be developed during this period: "The  by-law framework will specify the types of companies/organizations,  types of licenses, amounts,  and more."

ArmInfo. During the year, there  has been a significant appreciation of the ruble, indicating changes  in the exchange rate of the Armenian dram / Russian ruble, as noted  by the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, Martin Galstyan,  during a press conference on June 10.  He also noted that inflation  in Russia remains higher than in Armenia. "Due to these two factors,  we see that the Armenian dram has weakened against the Russian ruble,  and Russia is our main trading partner," he noted.

CB Chairman on cases of financial fraud: Banks to extend moratorium on credit obligations until court verdict

ArmInfo. The moratorium on  credit obligations for citizens who have become victims of fraud,  initially set at 3-5 years by banks, will now be extended until a  court verdict is reached in each individual case. Martin Galstyan,  Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, announced on June 10 during  a press conference, citing an agreement reached with the banks, who  will provide further details in the upcoming days.
