ArmInfo.  On June 6, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received a delegation led by Veronica Garcia Del Arco, Regional Director for Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus at the German Bank for Reconstruction  and Development (KfW).

ArmInfo.  On June 6, RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received the governors of the Arkhangelsk, Irkutsk and Rostov regions, as well as the heads of the Krasnodar and Stavropol areas of the Russian Federation, who arrived  in Armenia to participate in the 10th Armenian-Russian Interregional Forum, as reported by the press service of the RA government.

ArmInfo. The mission of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), accompanied by employees of the Road Department, visited Syunik region to study the project of the northern section of the Sisian-Kajaran road within the framework of the North-South international transport corridor.

ArmInfo. Today, thanks to negotiations with the Georgian side, 52 vehicles loaded with Armenian alcoholic beverages, which had been stuck at the Gezi terminal for over a month, have left for Russia, as announced by Gevorg Papoyan, Minister of Economy of Armenia, during a session in Parliament. 

ArmInfo.  I hope that a direct air route between Yerevan and New Delhi or another Indian city will be launched in September, as announced by RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan in Parliament on June 5.  He emphasized that it is likely to happen.

ArmInfo. Unfortunately, in 2024, Armenia saw a significant drop in the number of tourists arriving from the EAEU. However, this decline was counterbalanced by a significant increase in tourists from the Middle East, Western Europe, China and the United States. Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan stated this in Parliament on June 5, noting  that the  share of Russian tourists has decreased from 50% to 39%  compared to the previous year. He emphasized that this compensation helped limit the overall decrease in tourist flow to Armenia to just 4.6% over the past year.

ArmInfo. In 2025, if current economic developments continue, the Sotk mine operates smoothly, the Amulsar deposit is restarted, and structural reforms are implemented,  economic growth in Armenia is projected to be around 5.1%. In the medium term, average growth is expected to be at 5.3%, as stated in the Medium-Term Expenditure Program (MTEP) for 2026-2028, which was approved on June 5 at a regular government meeting.

ArmInfo.  Armenia should pay more attention to issues related to expanding control functions at the country's checkpoints and enhancing the capabilities of Armenian border guards. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan made this statement on June 5 during the hearings of the RA National Assembly committees  regarding the implementation of the country's 2024 state budget. He was responding to a question posed by  Artur Khachatryan,  MP from the opposition faction "Armenia". The deputy, in particular, raised the issue of the shameful situation regarding the issuance of Schengen visas at the embassies of EU countries in the RA, especially given the ongoing negotiations on visa regime liberalization between  the RA and the EU.

ArmInfo.As previously reported, the beneficiary of The Power of One Dram program in April—for the third time —was the “4090” Charitable Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to addressing the social and educational needs of veterans who participated in the wars since the April War. This time, a total of 4,919,726 AMD was raised through the program, a portion of which was allocated to provide health insurance support to 60 beneficiaries of the foundation.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, economic activity growth in January-April 2025 slowed significantly to 4.4% per annum (from 13.2% in the same period of 2024). Moreover, the  industrial sector, which acted as a growth driver a year earlier, is now in a double-digit decline. 

ArmInfo. In Armenia, inflation is being driven by increasing food prices and unyielding service  tariffs. From January-May 2025, inflation reached 2.8%, with food process increasing by 5.4% and service process increasing by 1.2%.  

ArmInfo.Zinapah National Foundation for Servicemen  Insurance has signed a memorandum of  cooperation with the Innobiz Busines Support NGO. Within this partnership, an educational initiative will be implemented for the Foundation's military beneficiaries and their families.

ArmInfo.  Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Edgar Zakaryan participated in the 11th meeting of the Industrial Policy Council of the CIS Member States,  which was  held on June 4 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan).  In his speech, Edgar  Zakaryan, emphasized the significance of the activities of the  Industrial Policy Council of  CIS Member States, stating that this platform enables constructive dialogue among countries,  exchange of best practices, coordination of approaches to industrial modernization, and the development of a common vision for integrated industrial cooperation.

ArmInfo.  The healthcare sector is a pioneer in implementing artificial intelligence (AI) into its system, and it is crucial to encourage its integration in various fields and in Armenia, especially in medicine, as stated by Health Minister  Anahit Avanesyan at a press conference in Yerevan on June 4.
