ArmInfo. Today, thanks to negotiations with the Georgian side, 52 vehicles loaded with Armenian alcoholic beverages, which had been stuck at the Gezi terminal for over a month, have left for Russia, as announced by Gevorg Papoyan, Minister of Economy of Armenia, during a session in Parliament. 

Gevorg Papoyan announces potential direct air route  between Yerevan and an Indian city

ArmInfo.  I hope that a direct air route between Yerevan and New Delhi or another Indian city will be launched in September, as announced by RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan in Parliament on June 5.  He emphasized that it is likely to happen.

Economy Minister: Decrease in  EAEU tourists  balanced by rise in  Middle East, Western Europe, China and US visitors

ArmInfo. Unfortunately, in 2024, Armenia saw a significant drop in the number of tourists arriving from the EAEU. However, this decline was counterbalanced by a significant increase in tourists from the Middle East, Western Europe, China and the United States. Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan stated this in Parliament on June 5, noting  that the  share of Russian tourists has decreased from 50% to 39%  compared to the previous year. He emphasized that this compensation helped limit the overall decrease in tourist flow to Armenia to just 4.6% over the past year.

ArmInfo. In 2025, if current economic developments continue, the Sotk mine operates smoothly, the Amulsar deposit is restarted, and structural reforms are implemented,  economic growth in Armenia is projected to be around 5.1%. In the medium term, average growth is expected to be at 5.3%, as stated in the Medium-Term Expenditure Program (MTEP) for 2026-2028, which was approved on June 5 at a regular government meeting.

ArmInfo.  Armenia should pay more attention to issues related to expanding control functions at the country's checkpoints and enhancing the capabilities of Armenian border guards. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan made this statement on June 5 during the hearings of the RA National Assembly committees  regarding the implementation of the country's 2024 state budget. He was responding to a question posed by  Artur Khachatryan,  MP from the opposition faction "Armenia". The deputy, in particular, raised the issue of the shameful situation regarding the issuance of Schengen visas at the embassies of EU countries in the RA, especially given the ongoing negotiations on visa regime liberalization between  the RA and the EU.

The Power of One Dram Concludes Another Program with the 4090 Foundation
