ArmInfo.  The Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan international train, operated by South Caucasus Railways, will start service  on June 14. This agreement was reached following a meeting between representatives of SCR and the Georgian Railways (GR) held in Yerevan on May 20.

ArmInfo.  The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure (MTAI) of Armenia proposes to exempt Iranian trucks weighing up to 44 tons from paying road tax, both for transit and bilateral cargo transportation. The initiative  is posted on the single portal of legal acts.

As Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Armen Nurbekyan reported during a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Financial, Credit and Budgetary Issues, this issue is being discussed at a meeting of the Central  Bank Council.

ArmInfo.  The gas pipeline from Iran to Armenia did not initially imply any transit possibility. This was stated by the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan in an  interview with a number of Armenian media outlets.

ArmInfo. As part of the program to enhance the seismic safety of schools in Armenia, the restoration and construction of 23 out of 46 planned educational institutions has been completed. This was announced by Gohar Musaelyan, Head of the ADB Program, during a press tour dedicated to the 20th anniversary of cooperation between the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Republic of Armenia. She specified that work in the remaining schools is either ongoing or is in the final design stage. 

ArmInfo.  In the Armenian interbank foreign exschange market, dollar transactions increased from May 12 to May 16, 2025, while ruble transactions decreased. Euro transactions have not been carried out for over two months. Specifically, the weekly trend for ruble transactions shifted from 64.3% growth to a 30.4% decrease, while the trend for dollar transactions changed from a 38.2% decrease to a 62% increase. As a result, the total weekly volume of dollar transactions once again surpassed ruble transactions by 1.7 times. The previous week the situation was reversed, with ruble transactions exceeding dollar  transactions by 1.3 times.

ArmInfo.Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Grabchak's statement about the completion of the feasibility study for the project to connect the energy systems of Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran, marks an important stage in the development of a new transit electricity corridor called the  <North-South> corridor.
