ArmInfo.By the decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, a working group will be established for the effective implementation of work on the program  for the construction of small-medium reservoirs.

ArmInfo.The Armenian nuclear-power plant (NPP) has taken out another loan, AMD 6bln ($12,516,609 at the current exchange rate), from the government to  repay and serve the loans previously received for extending the NPP  operation. 

ArmInfo. From February 2, FLYONE ARMENIA launches non-scheduled commercial flights on the Yerevan-Istanbul-Yerevan route. The company told ArmInfo that  Yerevan- Istanbul flights will be operated from Zvartnots  International Airport to Istanbul International Airport. The price of  a one-way ticket is starts from 39 euros, and for FLYONE CLUB members  from 34 euros.

ArmInfo. On January 13, the Armenian government decided to amend the procedure for implementing subvention programs aimed at the socio-economic development of the  regions, and to increase funding for the construction of preschool  institutions.

ArmInfo. Last November, a 9.2% year-on-year rise in real estate prices was recorded in Yerevan - up to AMD 351,100 per sq. meter, with a 1.9% price rise in one  month.  

ArmInfo. On January 10, 2022, at the Best Western Congress Hotel, Armswissbank – the Delivery Partner of “Scaling up green finance practices in the Republic of Armenia” Programme - organized a workshop to present the results of the third phase of the programme funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The results of the international good practice analysis in the sustainable finance area and the proposed recommendations for advancing green finance practices in Armenia were presented. The third phase of the Program was implemented by PwC Armenia and PwC Switzerland.

ArmInfo.Last November, a 9.7% year-on-year rise in the average market prices for housing was recorded in Armenia's regions, with a monthly rise of 1.8%, up to AMD  104,600 per 1sq meter.

ArmInfo.The Armenian government minimizes contacts between the tax authority and the taxpayer. On January 12, at a regular sitting of the NA Standing Committee on  Economic Affairs, the draft law "On Amendments and Addenda to the RA  Tax Code" was discussed in the first reading.

ArmInfo. In Armenia in January-November 2021, 33,587 children were born, which is 0.7% higher than a year ago, and in a two-year context, the growth was  1.9%. According to the RA Statistical Committee, the birth rate per  1000 inhabitants at the end of the reporting period amounted to 12.4  ppm, against 12.3 ppm in 2020 and 12.2 ppm in 2019.

ArmInfo.The State Revenue Committee of Armenia revealed a criminal scheme of tax evasion by importers through bankruptcy. The state suffered damage in the amount  of about 150 million drams.
