Cargo transportation in Armenia increased by 10.4% for 9 months, with  a 38.8% increase in passenger traffic

ArmInfo. The volume of cargo transportation in Armenia in January-September 2021 accelerated the y-o-yl growth from 4.9% to 10.4%, amounting to 12,009.3 thousand  tons. Of these, 8,291.9 thousand tons (69% of the total) fell on road  transport, with an acceleration in annual growth from 5.2% to 17.5%  (against an increase of 5.2%). This is evidenced by the data of the  RA Statistical Committee.

The revenue of the textile industry in Armenia increased in January-September 2021 compared to the same period in 2020 2.3-fold (against a 39.5% decline  a year earlier), amounting to 1.3 billion drams. Alcoholic beverage production registered double-digit growth in  Armenia

In Armenia, following the results of 9 months of 2021, double-digit growth was registered in all alcoholic beverages produced in the country.  In  particular, according to the data of the Statistical Committee of the  Republic of Armenia, during the reporting period, 30.3 million liters  brandy were produced in Armenia, which is 20.9% higher than a year  ago (against a 12% decline a year earlier).

ArmInfo.The net inflow of individual transfers to Armenia in January- September 2021 amounted to $ 670.2 million, with an acceleration in y-o-y growth from 28.5% to 56%  (against a pre-COVID 25.6% decline in the same period of 2019),  supported by an almost similar significant increase in net inflow of  remittances from Russia and the United States. ArmInfo. In Armenia, the specific debt burden per capita continues to grow, reaching $ 3.1 thousand on October 1, 2021, against $ 2.7 thousand a year earlier. Moreover, per  capita debt burden from external debt increased from $ 2 thousand to  $ 2.3 thousand. This is due to the continuing annual growth of both  the public debt in general and external debt, in particular, with the  annual decrease in the population of Armenia by 1.1 thousand people.  - down to 2.967 million people by October 1, 2021.

ArmInfo.The production of aluminum foil in Armenia, in January-September 2021 in comparison with the same period in 2020, decreased by 3.9% (against 13.8% growth  a year earlier), with a volume of 25,420 thousand tons. According to  the data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia,  2,831 tons of aluminum foil were produced in September alone, with a  decline of 2.4% over the month.

Armenia`s minister of economy hopes for more funds for agricultural  sector

About AMD 23.638bln of the AMD 41.009bln budgeted for 2022 (a 26.9% increase as compared with the 2021 adjusted budget) will be used to cover  agricultural expenses, RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan stated  at preliminary hearing of the 2022 draft budget by the standing  parliamentary committees. The discussions may result in an increase  in the total amount, he said.

ArmInfo. In the consumer market of Armenia in January-October 2021, 4.2%, inflation was recorded, against deflationary 1% in the same period of 2020. This was provoked  by an increase in the price of food products (including alcohol and  cigarettes) by 5.7% (against a decrease in prices by 3.4% a year  earlier), non-food products - by 6.6% (against a rise in prices by  0.4% a year earlier), and increase in tariffs for services by 1.2%  (as in the previous year). This is evidenced by the data of the RA  Statistical Committee.
