CBA continues to improve its forecast for 2021: GDP growth by 5.4%,  unemployment rate decline to 15.7%, growth of net inflow of transfers  by 23-26%

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia further improved the forecast for GDP growth for 2021 - to 5.4% (from the previous 4.6%), with a slowdown in 2022 to 2.4% and  after accelerating in 2023 to 4.1%. This is stated in the Central  Bank's Monetary Policy Program for Q3 2021, published at the end of  September.

EBRD provides US$ 5 million for transition of Armenian SMEs to green  technologies

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing a US$ 5 million financial package to Inecobank in Armenia to facilitate the  private sector's transition to more sustainable, low-carbon and  climate-resilient practices. Armenia`s draft state budget for 2022 provides for 7% GDP growth,  from 6.5% expected by the end of 2021

The expenditures of the state budget of Armenia in 2022, in comparison with the indicator projected  in the state budget for 2021, will grow by 18.2% - up to 2  trillion 188.4 billion drams, RA Minister of Finance Tigran  Khachatryan said at a government meeting on September 30, presenting  the draft law on budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2022 ".

Iran announced acceleration of launch of "North-South" ITC

In addition to the economic development of Iran and Russia, the revitalization of the North-South international transport corridor will also benefit  other countries in the region, in particular China and India. Said  Mohammad, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free and Special  Economic Zones of Iran, said this.  A meeting on the activation of  the North-South ITC with the participation of the Iranian and Russian  authorities was held in Tehran on Wednesday.

Government of Armenia negotiates with a single operator of the water supply system -company "Veolia Djur" for the revision of the lease agreement in order to  form a more stable pricing policy for the next 10 years. This was  stated by the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission  (PSRC) of Armenia Garegin Baghramyan on September 29 in an interview  with reporters referring to the company's application to increase the  water tariff.

ArmInfo.Armenia's GDP at purchasing power parity increased 1.5- fold from USD 29 billion in 2014 to USD 42 billion in 2019. This was announced by the Assistant  to the chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Iya Malkina  at a briefing on September 29.

Export of non-primary goods of the EAEU to the markets of third   countries increased by 50% to $ 90 billion

In January-July 2021, the revenues of the state treasury of Armenia, compared to the same period in 2020, increased by 10.4% or by 86.8 billion drams, which is  largely due to an increase in tax revenues. Taxes provided about 95%  of all budget revenues. This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry  of Finance of Armenia.
