ArmInfo. Minister of  Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan  discussed with Asset Assavbayev, Secretary General of the  Intergovernmental Commission of the Transport Corridor  Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA),the possibilities of deepening  regional economic cooperation with the TRACECA organization, in the  context of developing transport links between Armenia and the  countries of the region, including Central Asia.

According to the Financial Rating of insurance companies in Armenia, prepared by ArmInfo IC, the total loss of 6 insurance companies for H1 2021 was amounted to 130.6 million drams (over $ 263.4 thousand), with a 2-fold y-o-y drawdown (from plus to minus level), with a quarterly 2.5-fold growth (reaching the plus level).

ArmInfo.In H1 2021, 239,263 tourists visited Armenia, which is 22.2% less than a year ago. According to the data of the RA Statistical Committee, Armenia is the  most attractive for tourists from Russia, whose share in the total  structure was 39.1% or 93,537 tourists.  However, on a y-o-y terms, a  decline of 22.8% was recorded.

ArmInfo. As of August 10, 2021, tax revenues (tax revenues and state duty) of the state treasury of Armenia amounted to 887.4 billion drams, or 85.7% of the planned  figure for 9 months, the Budget Office of the RA National Assembly  reports, referring to operational data.

There has been a significant increase in imports of electric cars in Armenia.  According to the press service of the Ministry of Nature Protection,  such an increase is associated with changes in the Tax Code of  Armenia, according to which from July 1, 2019 to January 1, 2022, the  import and sale of vehicles with an electric motor is exempted from  VAT.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, in the first half of 2021, the absolute value of natural population growth was 584 people, decreasing by 57.7% year on year, and by 74.6%  compared to 2019. The rate of natural growth of the population  decreased during the reporting period from 1 to 0.4 ppm, against 1.6  ppm two years earlier.

ArmInfo.By July 1, 2021, the population of Armenia increased by 0.1% or 1.6 thousand people, amounting to 2.965 million people. This is evidenced by the data of  the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.In 2024, Armenia plans to implement the next and fifth tranche of Eurobonds on the international market. "The funds received from the emission of  Eurobonds will be used to buy back bonds of 2025 maturity," says the  Strategic Program for Government Debt Management for 2022-2024,  approved by the decision of the RA government on July 12, 2021.
