ArmInfo.In Armenia, in January-May 2021, electricity generation amounted to 3310.3 million kWh, with a slowdown in y-o-y growth from 8.3% to 2%. ArmInfo.Armenia's foreign trade turnover in January-May 2021 amounted to $ 2.9 billion, with an improvement in y-o-y dynamics to 11.6% growth (from an 11.2% decline  a year earlier). Moreover, higher growth was shown by exports (20.8%)  than imports (6.7%), with a trend reversal from the downward 8.1% and  12.8%, respectively, a year earlier. According to the final data of  the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the volume of  exports reached $ 1.1 billion, and imports reached $ 1.8 billion.

ArmInfo.The metallurgical industry of Armenia slowed down the y-o-y production growth in January-May 2021 to 17% from 24.4% in the same period of 2020. This is evidenced  by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.The volume of industrial production in Armenia in January- May 2021, against the same period a year ago, slightly slowed down the y-o-y growth rate - from 2.4% to  2.3%, which was due to a slowdown in the growth of the mining  industry and a slowdown in the decline in manufacturing output. In May of this year, by May 2020, economic  activity increased by 10.9% (against a decline of 12.8% a year  earlier), while demonstrating an increase of 2% in May 2021 alone  (against 13.3% growth in May 2020).

The y-o-y inflation in the consumer market of Armenia, amounted to 6.5% in June 2021  (against 1.7% a year earlier), due to the rise in prices for food products  (including alcohol and cigarettes) by 8.8% and non-food products by  9.5%, with an increase in tariffs for services by 2.1%, while a year  earlier (June 2020 to June 2019) there was an increase in the price  of food products by 2.9% and an increase in tariffs for services by  1.3%, while the price of non-food products decreased by 0.2%.
