New hospital to be built in Yerevan

ArmInfo. A new hospital will  be built in Yerevan. This decision was made at a meeting of the  Council of Elders of the Yerevan Municipality. According to the  presented project, the hospital will be built on an area of 8744.9  sq.m. at Hrachya Nersisyan 10 street. for the construction $ 15  million will be invested. It is reported that 450 jobs will be  created in the new capital medical institution.

ArmInfo. In August 2020, the real effective exchange rate of the dram to the basket of currencies of the states - the main trading partners of Armenia decreased by  0.6%, and the nominal effective exchange rate - by 0.3%, thereby  fixing a slight weakening of the national currency.

ArmInfo.The insurance sector of Armenia in January-September 2020 paid taxes for 1.6 billion drams ($ 3.2 million), which is 33.3% higher than a year ago (against a 25%  decline a year earlier). Of this amount, 1.4 billion drams fell on  direct taxes, with an annual growth of 16.7% (against a 14.3% decline  a year earlier).

Telecommunication operators of Armenia for 9 months of 2020 increased  tax payments to the state budget by 13.1% per annum.

ArmInfo. In January-September 2020, the four telecom operators of Armenia paid a total of 23.3 billion drams to the budget through taxes, which is 13.1% more than a  year ago. Of this amount, 11.8 billion were paid by direct taxes  (including income tax, tax on income) and 9.9 billion - on indirect  taxes (including VAT, excise tax).

ArmInfo. The list of the largest taxpayers in Armenia in January- September 2020 continues to be headed by the Armenian-Canadian joint venture "Grand Tobaco"  (against the 2nd position a year earlier), having paid over 36.2  billion drams or $ 74.1 million to the state treasury (with an annual  decline of 10, 2%), of which 1.1 billion drams - on customs duties,  6.4 billion drams - on direct taxes (including profit tax, tax on  income), 29.6 billion drams - on indirect taxes (including VAT,  excise tax). This is evidenced by the published data of the RA State  Revenue Committee.
