ArmInfo.In the Q1 of 2020, premiums of Armenian insurance companies decrease due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. According to the Financial Rating of Armenian Insurance Companies prepared by ArmInfo IC, premiums fell by 4.2% y-o-y against 17.6% last year. The decrease in the volume of collected premiums was accompanied by a significant slowdown in the  growth of insurance payments - up to 5.8% compared to last year's  13.3%.

The assets of the banking system of Armenia slowed down annual growth from 16.1% to 15.3%, amounting to 5.9 trillion drams ($ 11.7 billion) as of April 1, 2020.  According to the Express-Ranking of Banks of Armenia, prepared by ArmInfo IC, in their structure credit investments and other loans  reached 3.8 trillion drams ($ 7.5 billion), with annual growth  accelerating from 16.2% to 20.4%.

ArmInfo. In the first quarter of 2020 the service sector in Armenia reduced the y-o-y growth rate from 17.3% (for the same period of 2019) to 5.7%, amounting to 452.4 billion AMD ($ 937.8 million). According to the data of the  Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, for March 2020 the  volume of services provided decreased by 5.3%, to 147.1 billion drams  (over $ 301 million).
