ArmInfo.In 2026, Armenia will reduce appropriations to the Ministry of Defense by approximately 15.2% - from 664.7 billion drams to 563 billion drams  (approximately $1.5 billion), as  noted  in the statement to the  draft state budget for the upcoming year, approved today during a  Cabinet meeting.

Industrial price index  growth slowing due to industrial sector  decline

ArmInfo.In Armenia, the industrial price index decreased from 102.9% to 102.8% in January-August 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. This decline  was noted alongside a shift in the annual dynamics of the industrial  sector, moving from  a 13.7% growth to a 7.8% decline, with a volume  of 1.8 trillion drams ($4.5 billion),  according to preliminary data  from the RA Statistics Committee.

Armenian Cabinet to get ?150 million loan from  French Development  Agency

In Armenia, the growing prices of medical  services have led to an increase in the loss ratio for medical  insurance (both voluntary and with social packages - Ed.), reaching  69% by the end of the first half of 2025, as evidenced by the  Financial Rating of Armenian Insurance Companies as of June 30, 2025,  prepared by ArmInfo Investment Company based on published financial  reports and additional data requested from insurance companies.

Armenia`s GDP projected to grow by 5.4 % in 2026, with deflator rate  of 3%

ArmInfo.Armenia's GDP growth in 2026 is projected to be 5.4%, with a deflator of 3%, and a deficit of 4.5%. "The budget is clearly an investment in human  capital," as stated by Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan  during a  regular meeting on September 25, when presenting the country's draft  state budget for the upcoming year. 

EBRD revises economic growth in Armenia up to 5%

ArmInfo.Armenia's economic growth moderated from 5.9 per cent in 2024 to 5.5 per cent year on year in the first half of 2025, as the exceptional post2022 boom  faded, and industry contracted.
