Minister: There will be no failures in the work of the  telecommunications sector

ArmInfo. Most telecommunications employees switched to work remotely. The Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan  announced this at a press conference in Yerevan on March 17.

According to him, this measure is necessary to limit the ability to  communicate and prevent the spread of coronavirus. The Minister  informed that a meeting was held with the leaders of the largest  telecommunications companies, who assured that there would be no  disruptions in their work. Some risks have also been identified in  relation to which the necessary measures are being taken. All risks,  as the minister noted, are manageable.

Some problems will be with service centers, especially in terms of  concluding new contracts. The number of these centers will be  limited. All operators have the ability to make payments for these  services in a remote format.

The minister also assured that there will be no failures with the  post service. All pensioners, especially in the village where they  receive cash pensions, will receive them. Moreover, the number of  post offices will also be limited. The Office, together with Armpost,  is taking steps to eliminate possible queues.
