PAP proposes 7 anti-crisis points to Government

ArmInfo. The Prosperous Armenia Party held an extraordinary meeting on March 29, during which it was decided to submit to the government 7 anti-crisis proposals to  stabilize the situation in the country.

According to the party's press service, the PAP believes that in  order to suppress the spread of coronavirus infection in the country  at all checkpoints in the country, as well as at all airports, all  arrivals should pass a quick coronavirus test. If the test is  positive, these citizens should be isolated. All clinics and medical  centers should also have these tests.

Secondly, today in Armenia there are 1.6 mln. citizens who have taken  loans . In emergency situations, most of them failed to implement  proper payouts. Therefore, we offer an amnesty for interest payments  for a period of at least three months, including subsidies with side  of the state.

In Armenia, there are about 200,000 people working for daily payment,  and their daily income is 5,000- 7,000 drams. In this situation,  these people fell into a difficult social situation. The state should  allocate 70,000 drams per month to these families.

The country has about 67,000 small and medium-sized organizations.  Today, the main thing is the preservation of jobs, and the provision  of employees is necessary for everyone. PAP proposes to the  management of these organizations to turn to banks and pay 70,000  drams to each employee, with a state subsidy, until the situation  stabilizes.

Also, the state should take care of unsecured elderly people, people  with disabilities, large families and other unsecured sectors of  society, allocating funds for them to buy a minimum food basket.   Those sectors of the economy that are most affected by the  coronavirus and do not work due to the state of emergency should  receive tax breaks.

And finally, it is necessary to quickly inject targeted and  large-scale financial flows into the economy in order to restore a  consistent chain of industrial production, agriculture and services.  It is necessary to effectively use the state budget, savings and  reserves of $ 2.8 billion.

<We are convinced that these seven priorities will save the  situation. The implementation of the steps we have proposed is also  realistic, since they fit exclusively into the estimated expenditures  of the state budget and state funds>, the party's statement  emphasized.
