ArmInfo.Chaired by Prime Minister Nikola Pashinyan the day before the government held a meeting in which the heads of departments representing the economic bloc of the government and specialists of the Central Bank took part.
According to the press service of the government, the Prime Minister noted that the purpose of the meeting was to try to assess the impact of coronavirus on the economy and identify opportunities that our country and the economic sector can take advantage of. According to the Prime Minister, as a result of such discussions, it is necessary to assess how the government should respond to opportunities in the short and long term, taking into account changes in the structure of the economy in the new realities.
As part of the discussions in this context, a number of ideas, suggestions and comments were presented. Specialists of the Central Bank presented their analysis of developments in the world economy and possible trends. In this context, the importance of encouraging investment and the formation of industries that are based on human capital, technology and knowledge was emphasized.
Prime Minister Pashinyan stressed. "Our main goal should be changes in consumer behavior. We need to encourage creativity and understand how to make it spread among companies, people, families." Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of consolidating the Armenian scientific potential and developing specific development formulas in the fields.
The Prime Minister noted that discussions in this format would be periodic and requested to submit proposals and new ideas in the above areas.
