ArmInfo.In Armenia, five companies are participating in a tender for the purchase of 500 elevators for apartment buildings in Yerevan. This was reported by the press service of the Yerevan municipality.
According to the source, applications submitted by bidders are under consideration. Tenders announced are held according to the legislation of the country.
To recall, at the end of December last year, a pilot program was announced to replace 100 elevators, but subsequently the Yerevan Municipality decided to replace 500 old elevators in metropolitan residential buildings in 2020. Budget revenues for 2019 allowed to adjust plans.
The city authorities previously noted that about 70% of the capital's elevators have been in operation for 40 years, while their maximum life is 25 years.
