ArmInfo.During the privatization of healthcare facilities, the Armenian government will itself determine the need to maintain the profiles of these  facilities. At a meeting of the parliamentary commission on economic  issues on September 9, amendments to the privatization program of  state property for 2017-2020 are discussed.

According to the Deputy Chairman of the RA State Property Management  Committee Vardan Kostanyan, in 2017, 17 healthcare facilities were  included in the privatization program at once, of which, according to  the situation, 5 medical centers remain unprivatized. Given that the  program is about to expire, it became necessary to amend it in order  to provide the executive body with the opportunity to determine the  appropriateness of maintaining the profile of these objects during  the alienation process. Otherwise, these organizations will be  liquidated. We are talking about the scientific center of  traumatology and orthopedics, the center for the production of  radioisotopes, the scientific research institute of balneology and  physical medicine, the republican speleotherapeutic center and the  clinic of nerves. The RA Ministry of Health considers, Vardan  Kostanyan continued, that with the exception of the center for the  production of radioisotopes, maintaining the profiles of other  organizations is inexpedient. Moreover, from 2021, the Nervez clinic  will no longer receive government orders. This year, the volume of  state orders for it amounted to 127 million drams. The company itself  is estimated at 164 million drams. The possibility of changing the  profile of medical centers is also due to the fact that the services  rendered in them are now used in other clinics. The financial  condition of these clinics is deteriorating and efforts are being  made to maintain them. In the near future, a new program of  privatization of state property objects will be presented, in which  investors will be provided with good sales conditions, including the  postponement of payments.
