
ArmInfo.The grape harvest in the Ararat region has increased by 25-30%. This became known following the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia led by Minister Tigran Khachatryan to a number of processing enterprises of the Ararat region.
Nevertheless, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, winegrowers reap the harvest prematurely, and breaking the queue, create additional problems in the process of receiving it.
According to the report, during a visit to this region, the delegation of the Ministry of Economy visited, among other things, the Ararat Wine Factory, where its head Armen Sargsyan spoke about the process of harvesting grapes at the enterprise, which has already lasted 19 days. According to him, the daily volume of grapes obtained is 600-850 tons. As of today, the plant has harvested 12,800 tons of grapes. The head of the plant noted that he assumes that the grape harvesting process will last another 15 days, resulting in the total volume of grapes at the enterprise will be 22,000-23,000 tons.
Armen Sargsyan also noted that in order to ensure a high-quality wine product, the plant will be modernized and repaired, including from next year it is planned to introduce new equipment for the development of elite winemaking.
