ArmInfo. Armenia managed to close 2020 with a high level of tax discipline. On January 12, RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan stated this to journalists. According to him, this is largely due to the growth of self-awareness on the part of business entities and the strengthening of tax administration. As the Deputy Minister stressed, the budget process is proceeding normally.
Answering the question about budgetary prepayments allegedly made by taxpayers several months in advance, Arman Poghosyan noted that today, even theoretically, this is impossible. Payments are made monthly, depending on tax values based on tax calculations. Even if an economic entity has made a calculation for several months in advance, the specified amount is not transferred to the state budget, but remains on its single account with the right to use it for other purposes, Arman Poghosyan added.
