The company of the former Deputy Energy Minister and the son of the  former Prime Minister of Armenia received another tax benefit from  the government

On June 3, the Armenian  government approved the application of "Bari Arev" LLC on exemption  from payment of import customs duties on technological equipment,  components and spare parts for it, raw materials and materials  imported within the framework of the investment project.  

Earlier, on May 20, the Armenian government postponed the payment of  VAT on imported equipment for 3 years. As stated in the background to  the document, the company is investing 4.7 billion drams in the  construction of three 5 MW helical stations in the Gegharkunik and  Aragatsotn regions of Armenia.  So, according to the investment  program, which started in 2019, two solar power plants are located in  the Aragatsotn community of the eponymous region, and the third in  the Astghadzor community of the Gegharkunik region. The project is  expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year.  

Out of  the promised investments of 4.7bln AMD, 80% have already been spent.  Within the framework of the investment program, it is planned to  create 20 new jobs with an average salary of 250 thousand AMD over  three years. The annual volume of produced energy in the amount of  approximately AMD 871 million will be purchased by ENA CJSC.  

To note, according to the state register of legal entities of  Armenia, the company was registered on December 22, 2017. Its real  owners are the former Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of  Armenia, the son of the former Deputy Director of the National  Security Service of the republic Hayk Harutyunyan (from 05/15/2019) -  the owner of 41% of the share, the son of the former Prime Minister  Karen Karapetyan - Tigran Karapetyan (19% from 05/15 / 2019) and  Gharibyan Armen Serzhikovich (40% from 07/31/2020).
