The government granted a customs privilege to the Alex Textile  company, owned by Samvel Aleksanyan

ArmInfo.On July 1, the Armenian government made a decision to grant a customs privilege to the "Alex Textile" company, owned by businessman Samvel Aleksanyan. The decision was taken in an "non-negotiable" manner.

In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers satisfied the application of  Alex Textile LLC for exemption from import customs duties on imported  technological equipment, their components and components for them,  raw materials and materials imported under the investment program  implemented in the priority area.  According to the rationale for the  document, the imported goods will be used in the production of socks  and tights. It is noted that the company will soon commission a new  tights production workshop, equipped with heavy-duty and modern  equipment. AMD 1.2 billion will be allocated for the purchase of new  equipment.  Within the framework of this investment program, 80 new  jobs will be created with an average salary of 167,000 drams.

According to preliminary data, by 2024 it is planned to produce  products worth about 4 billion drams, 20% of which will be sold on  the territory of the Republic of Armenia, 80% - exported to the  international market: 50% - to Russia, 30% - to EU countries.

It is noted that in order to ensure high quality of manufactured  products, equipment and raw materials worth 2.1 billion drams will be  imported from Italy, Turkey, Russia, and yarn and other raw materials  - from Italy, Poland, Estonia, China and Korea.

The value of goods for which the privilege is granted is 2 billion  drams. The exemption from customs duties is 106 million drams.
