
ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador Artashes Tumanyan, who is completing his mission in Iran, met with Rostam Ghasemi, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Iran, during the meeting they discussed issues related to the construction of the Goris-Kapan alternative road, the North-South highway and the Persian Gulf-Black Sea transport corridor. The parties noted the importance of implementing these programs. Stating that work on the construction of an alternative Goris-Kapan road is nearing completion, and stressing a large road construction program that will start in Armenia in 2022, Tumanyan noted the importance of the possibility of Iranian companies participating in this program.
Ghasemi, expressing the readiness of the Iranian side for cooperation, thanked the Ambassador for the work done, expressing hope that in the future the Armenian-Iranian cooperation will be continued, new programs will be implemented.
