ArmInfo.RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received General Director of Rosatom Corporation Alexey Likhachev, the press service of the Prime Minister reports.
The Prime Minister noted that the Armenian-Russian cooperation in the field of energy has a rich agenda, and "Rosatom" is the main partner of the Armenian Government in the field of nuclear energy. The Head of the Executive appreciated the role of the Corporation in extending the operation period of the second power unit of the ANPP and expressed confidence that the cooperation will be effective also in the future.
Alexey Likhachev thanked for the close cooperation and noted that the "Rosatom" Corporation is interested in effective cooperation with the Armenian Government in the coming years.
At the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues related to the further operation of the second power unit of the ANPP, the possibilities of building a new nuclear power plant in Armenia, the development of nuclear energy, as well as to the cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
