Feeling of insecurity among majority of Armenia`s population may  affect country`s economic development- Economist

ArmInfo.More than half of the population of Armenia (55%) feel insecure, anxious, afraid of the  future, or completely disappointed, and do not believe in any reforms. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by Breavis in January-March 2023 commissioned by IRI.

Haykaz Fanyan, head of the Armenian Center for Socio- Economic  Studies (ACSES), who shared this information on his Facebook page,  believes that this data is a key behavioral indicator that can  significantly limit economic growth in Armenia. "The feeling of  insecurity among more than half of the Armenian population is a  serious problem for the country's economy," the analyst stressed.

According to the economist, in the medium term (2-5 years), the  impact of this factor on economic growth, or rather on its "curb",  will average at least 1.5 percentage points in year.
