ArmInfo. This year, the DigiTec 2023  technology exhibition will be held in Yerevan from October 13 to 15 at the Meridian exhibition center under the slogan "Technology is everywhere".  On October 10, at a meeting with journalists, Sargis Karapetyan, director of the "Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises" (UATE), the traditional organizer of the exhibition, said.

He said that over 120 IT companies will take part in the exhibition,  of which more than 30 are startups, the participation of which is  subsidized by UATE, and the participation of another 10 by the  Ministry of High- Technological Industry. At the same time, more than  10 international companies, or rather their representative offices in  Russia, which, due to well-known events, relocated to Armenia, will  take part in the exhibition. This year, as Karapetyan noted,  international media, including Forbes, Independent, etc., are  expected to visit for the first time.

The head of the Union said that within the framework of the  exhibition, the organizers tried to cover companies in the technology  sector working in all areas that are represented in Armenia, ranging  from drone manufacturing, electric vehicles to software developers,  outsourcing, as well as research and development organizations.

It is noteworthy that DigiTech 2023 intends to provide support to  Artsakh's IT community based on the situation created around our  compatriots. In particular, a separate Artsakh Career Expo pavilion  will operate within the framework of the exhibition to promote  employment of our compatriots from Artsakh. In this regard,  Karapetyan noted that UATE, as well as members of the Union, have  various employment programs and are ready to present their vacancies.  Speaking about one of the partners, Armenian Code Academy, he noted  that the latter has retraining and employment programs specifically  for Artsakh residents.

At the same time, he spoke about an interesting initiative for  start-up IT companies. The organizers decided to organize meetings  for startups with international investors, thereby providing them  with the opportunity to interest the latter and present their  potential. These meetings, which can last no more than 1 minute, will  be organized daily from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m..
