Green hydrogen generation project to be submitted to Armenia`s  government late in 2023 - minister

ArmInfo.Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) funded a study of the  country's potential in Armenia in the context of the possibilities of launching green hydrogen production, Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan told ArmInfo during a briefing on November 22, dedicated to the results of intergovernmental negotiations with Germany.

The study was carried out by the German economic team, which,  according to the minister, carried out high-quality work. Thanks to  this and other studies conducted, by the end of the year the  government of Armenia will be presented with a potential project that  will allow us to move on to practical steps.

"After receiving the green light from the government, we naturally  must hold negotiations with our international partners in order to  come to an agreement and, through appropriate agreements, begin  work," Kerobyan said.

Summarizing, the minister noted that the next news in this regard  will be at the beginning of next year.  It should be noted that in  early November, during budget hearings in the Parliament of Armenia,  Vahan Kerobyan announced an initiative to launch green hydrogen  production in Armenia in cooperation with Germany.

This August,  the Fund for Renewable Energy and Energy Saving of  Armenia and the French CJSC Solges Energy Group signed a Memorandum  of Understanding aimed at developing innovative, renewable energy in  Armenia, according to which it is planned to build the first  demonstration plant in the Republic of Armenia hydrogen station.  According to the Fund, the project also involves the development,  construction and operation of an innovative smart grid for  alternative energy generation. The project budget has not been  announced
