Armenia to study Lithuania`s experience in energy sector

ArmInfo.Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan met withMinister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania Dainius Kreivys in Vilnius. The meeting was also attended  by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Lithuania Ara Margaryan, the press service of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration reports.

Thanking for the invitation, Gnel Sanosyan emphasized the importance  of deepening friendly relations between Armenia and Lithuania, which  was also emphasized during the meeting of the prime ministers of the  two countries.

During the meeting, issues of possible cooperation in the energy  sector were discussed. The ministers of the two countries presented  the energy system of their countries.  The Minister of Energy of  Lithuania presented the Lithuanian experience in the transition to a  self- sufficient energy system as well as in the field of  installation and operation of energy storage stations in the context  of the current geopolitical challenges.

The interlocutors discussed the problems and challenges related to  the use of renewable energy and energy saving, solar and wind energy.  An agreement was reached on future cooperation at the professional  and expert level in order to study Lithuanian best practice.
