
ArmInfo. In the first half of 2024, Armenia significantly reduced both the export and import of cars. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Customs Service.
In particular, during the reporting period, only 604 cars were exported from the country, which is almost 2 times less than the figure for the previous year. The customs value of exported cars decreased by 91.7% - to $ 27.9 million.
Cars from Armenia were exported to Russia (36.5%), Kazakhstan (30.9%), Kyrgyzstan (12.7%), the UAE (12%), as well as to the USA, Georgia, Austria, Belarus, Germany, Bulgaria, Iraq.
Imports of cars also decreased significantly - by 68.4% year-on-year to 16.2 thousand units, and the customs value decreased by 65.7% to $263.9 million.
Passenger cars were imported mainly from the USA (33.3%), Mexico (24.1%), China (14.8%), Japan (8%), Germany (6.8%), Korea (6%), as well as from Canada, the United Kingdom, India, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Slovakia, Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland, the Russian Federation, Austria, Indonesia, Finland, Thailand, the Czech Republic, Romania, France, South Africa, Belgium, Georgia, the UAE, England, Australia, Taiwan, Iran, Poland, Croatia, France, New Zealand, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Slovenia.
