ArmInfo.Approximately 5,000-6,000 Armenian citizens will be able to retrieve deposits made at Sberbank, a former Soviet bank. This was announced by RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan.
According to him, the government has extended the program for the return of Soviet bank deposits by two years. "In 2025, deposits were returned to individuals born before December 31, 1942. This year, we have decided to extend this period by two years and will return deposits to individuals born before December 31, 1944," the minister said.
He added that the deposits will be returned according to the same formula that was in effect previously. To receive these benefits, you must present an identity document to the Unified Social Service, along with your social card, savings account, if available, and a certificate from VTB Armenia Bank confirming a deposit made before June 10, 1993.
