
ArmInfo. In 2025, Armenia generated 10,010.3 million kWh of electricity, up 6.7% from the previous year. According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, electricity generation increased by 19.4% in December alone, reaching 1,008.5 million kWh.
In particular, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) increased its output by 3% year-on-year to 2,914.9 million kWh, while its hydroelectric power plant (HPP) increased by 2.3% to 2,106.4 million kWh. Solar power generation by the end of 2025 amounted to 1,626.8 million kWh, a significant increase of 66.9% year-on-year.
At the same time, thermal power plant (TPP) generation was reduced by 4.4% to 3,360.9 million kWh in 2025, while wind power generation was reduced by 3% to 1.2 million kWh.
As a reminder, 9,381.4 million kWh of electricity was generated in 2024, a 6.5% increase compared to the previous year.
