This was stated by Ruben Simonyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, speaking at an event celebrating the results of the first phase of the "Cybersecurity Capacity Building" program, which was held at TUMO Labs.
According to the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, the program is being implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Information Systems Agency. The goal of the program is to develop the potential of young people and promote their involvement in cybersecurity.
According to the Deputy Minister, the initiative concerns not only cybersecurity but also the future of Armenia. Simonyan also emphasized that as digitalization deepens, digital solutions become an integral part of everyday life and public administration, and artificial intelligence technologies rapidly develop, high-quality education and specialist training are becoming especially important.
In this regard, he emphasized the importance of engaging young people in such programs, emphasizing that they provide a unique opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills that directly impact the country's security and future. Simonyan added that each participant plays a role in ensuring the sustainable development of the economy and the state. In conclusion, the Deputy Minister expressed confidence that the program's achievements will be long-lasting, becoming more widespread and developed.
The event included a tour of TUMO Labs, and the results of the first stage of the program were presented, including a self-study program, a project-based learning model aimed at developing young people's professional skills, and more.
