Business mission from Oryol and Rostov regions starts in Yerevan

ArmInfo. A business mission from the Oryol and Rostov regions has launched at the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia.  According to the Russian Embassy in Armenia, the visit was organized by regional Export Support Centers with the assistance of the Trade Mission of Russia in Armenia.

The delegation included companies from the Oryol and Rostov regions  operating in various industries, such as the production of  construction and electrical products, cables and wires, security  equipment, household goods, food products, cosmetics, and household  chemicals. During the meeting, Russian Trade Representative to  Armenia Sergey Solomin briefed participants on current trends in  Russian-Armenian trade and economic cooperation, noting the steady  positive dynamics of mutual trade and significant potential for  expanding interregional cooperation. Particular attention was paid to  opportunities for promoting Russian products in the Armenian market,  and developing cooperation projects in the industrial and consumer  sectors. Following the official part, initial business contacts with  Armenian partners took place. Participants discussed prospects for  product supplies, the development of cooperative ties, and the  possibility of implementing joint projects.

During the business mission, Russian companies will hold a series of  B2B meetings and visit specialized enterprises and trade  organizations in Armenia to showcase their products and explore areas  of cooperation in detail.

"The mission is expected to strengthen business ties, expand exports,  and develop new partnerships between companies in the Oryol and  Rostov regions and the Republic of Armenia," the diplomatic mission's  statement reads. 

It should be noted that according to the RA Statistical Committee,  mutual trade between Armenia and Russia in 2025 showed a decline of  38.3%, totaling $7.6 billion. A decrease in exports was recorded at  the level of 6.9% to $2.9 billion, with a decline in imports of 49.2%  to $4.7 billion.
