ArmInfo.Ameriabank, a leader in mortgage lending in Armenia, is participating in TOON Expo, a large-scale specialized exhibition in real estate and development. Vahram Gevorgyan, Head of Lifetime Banking tribe at Ameriabank, noted that participation in TOON Expo has already become a good tradition. While construction was previously concentrated primarily in Yerevan, more balanced growth is now being observed - both in the capital and in the regions, including Tavush, Armavir, Ararat, and Kotayk. According to her, this trend is due to improved quality of life, the implementation of income tax refund mechanisms in the regions, and infrastructure development. In an interview with journalists, Grigor Abajyan, Ameriabank's Secured and Investment Loan Product Manager, said that the bank's clients can purchase real estate abroad and earn additional income, including through rental income. "Our investment loan products allow individuals to acquire movable and immovable property abroad and earn additional income. They also provide the opportunity to acquire shares in companies both in Armenia and abroad or otherwise invest in businesses," he noted, adding that loans are available in three currencies: dram (13.75%), US dollars (9.5%), and euros (8.5%). He added that thanks to these products, Ameriabank's mortgage portfolio has increased 2.5-fold over the past two years. "This demonstrates growing demand: clients are increasingly interested in purchasing real estate abroad using this instrument," he emphasized.
It's worth noting that TOON Expo is attended by approximately 200 companies from real estate, development, and related industries from Armenia and international markets. The exhibition is being held for the sixth time, and as a result of the previous five events, real estate worth over $750 million was sold.
