
ArmInfo. This coming summer, Russians are planning to spend their vacations abroad in Turkey, China, and Armenia, as reported by Aviasales, airline ticket purchasing service, to RIA Novosti.
"Turkey was the top destination for summer international bookings, making up 15% of all international bookings. Following closely behind were China (9%), Armenia (9%), and Georgia (6%)," the company told the agency.
Other popular destinations for Russians planning summer vacations include Uzbekistan (5% of all international bookings), Kazakhstan (4%), Belarus (4%), Azerbaijan (4%), and Serbia (3%), as well as indirect flights to Italy, which account for 4% of all bookings.
The company also noted that China had experienced the most significant growth in popularity among Russian tourists, with a 115% year-on-year increase in its share of total international bookings. Other countries attracting increasing interest from Russians include Serbia and Montenegro (year-on-year growth of 107% and 27%, respectively).
