ArmInfo. The Public Services Regulatory Commission's decision to reduce grid connection fees officially comes into force today, April 27. The new regulations will see fees for connecting new consumer systems to the distribution network drop by up to 40%, while charges for increasing grid capacity or adding new capacity will be slashed by up to 55%. The announcement was made by the Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC.

Starting today, the reduced tariffs apply to all new applications for grid connection: new applications-tariffs for applications submitted on or after April 27 will be reflected in the finalized connection contracts; pending applications-for applications submitted prior to April 27, fees will remain calculated based on the older, higher tariffs, regardless of when the final agreement is signed or delivered to the consumer.
