Sales of Armenian mineral water "Jermuk" suspended in Russia

Sales of Armenian mineral water "Jermuk" suspended in Russia

ArmInfo.  The state-owned "Honest Sign" labeling system has suspended sales of a batch of Armenian mineral water "Jermuk" (Armenia) in offline and online  stores.  Revaz Yusupov, Deputy General Director of the Center for the  Development of Advanced Technologies (labeling operator), told RBC  that 338,000 bottles were in circulation and are now blocked pending  an inspection.

It is noted that the suspension was prompted by a letter from  Rospotrebnadzor, in which the agency stated the need to "take urgent  measures to prevent possible harm to the life and health of Russian  citizens." The reason for the blocking was "violations of mandatory  requirements." The ban applies to products with production dates of  February 17, 2026, and March 5, 2026. As Yusupov noted, "they will  not reach consumers until the investigation is completed."

The labeling system already suspended the sale of 2.5 million bottles  of Jermuk following the poisoning of a North Ossetian resident in  2024. The bottle contained acetic acid instead of mineral water.
