
ArmInfo. The Ministry of Finance of Armenia and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have confirmed their readiness to continue and deepen effective and constructive cooperation. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance, citing the results of a meeting between Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan and the newly appointed IMF Resident Representative in Armenia, Natalija Novta.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the agreement reached on economic policy issues. In this context, they noted progress in implementing the structural benchmarks outlined in the program, noting the importance of further expanding IMF technical support.
Referring to the appointment of Natalia Novta as IMF Permanent Representative to Armenia, the Minister expressed confidence that further cooperation will be effective and mutually beneficial. As a reminder, according to its April forecast, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) projects GDP growth for Armenia to be 5.3% in 2026 (compared to 7.2% in 2025), accelerating to 5.5% in 2027. This was noted in the IMF's April report, "World Economic Outlook: The Global Economy in the Shadow of War."
