AMD 13bln to be allocated for reconstruction of 58 km of roads in  Armenia

ArmInfo. 13 billion drams will be allocated for the reconstruction of 58 km of roads in Armenia. The decision was made at the RA government meeting on May 7.

As RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David  Khudatyan noted in his speech, the funds will be allocated through  the reallocation of budgetary funds. The minister noted that the cost  includes allocations for technical inspection, as well as a 5%  interest payment for work already completed.  Of the 58 km of roads,  1 km will be interstate, 27 km will be national, and 30 km will be  regional. Three interchanges are also included in the program.

In this regard, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan specified that one  0.9-kilometer-long road leads from Gyumri to the state border, which  will be completed in 2026. Another project concerns the construction  of an interchange from the village of Verin Ptghni towards Balahovit  and a road leading towards the city of Abovyan. This section of the  road will be over 5 kilometers long. Completion of this program is  also scheduled for 2026. It is planned to modernize the  16.7-kilometer-long highway leading from Yerevan to Garni, as well as  other sections.
