ArmInfo. 20.5 hectares of land in the Nor Hachn community of the Kotayk region of Armenia will be assigned to the State Property Management Committee under the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure. The decision was made at a government meeting on May 7.
According to RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan, the land is valued at an average market price of 323.8 million drams. It was transferred to state ownership in accordance with the ruling of the Anti-Corruption Court, which upheld the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office.
In this regard, RA Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan noted that the return of the aforementioned territory in the Kanakeravan village of the Nor Hachn community to state ownership was the result of mutual agreement between the parties only regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin. The remaining portion of the case remains pending in court. This concerns the illegal property of Manuk Hakobyan, an aide to former Abovyan Mayor Karapet Guloyan (the son-in-law of prominent businessman and leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan), and his wife. On August 29, 2023, the Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit in the Anti-Corruption Court seeking the confiscation of the illegal property from Manuk Hakobyan and his wife.
