ArmInfo. At its meeting on May 13, the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia approved the investment program of Armenian Nuclear Power Plant CJSC for 2026.
According to the PSRC, 3.4 billion drams (excluding VAT) will be allocated for the program's implementation. The investment program is aimed at technical re-equipment and modernization of the plant, as well as investments in other areas necessary for the NPP's operation.
As a reminder, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant is currently undergoing a five-month outage due to scheduled maintenance and refueling. The 3.4 billion drams will be used to address these specific issues. However, a significant amount of work is planned in parallel, aimed at a program to extend the second power unit's service life until 2036. A state loan of 63.2 billion drams has been provided from the country's state budget for this purpose.
