ArmInfo. The "Armenia Organic" logo will become the primary symbol for the certification and labeling of Armenian organic products. At its May 21 meeting, the Armenian government amended its May 26, 2009, resolution "On the procedure for issuing a certificate of conformity in the field of organic farming and on the approval of the forms of the conformity mark and certificate of conformity for organic agricultural products."
The rationale for the government's decision notes that the current logo is of poor quality and has limitations related to its applicability. The proposed new "Armenia Organic" logo was developed by the branding company Braind and provided to the RA Ministry of Economy free of charge. It will become the primary symbol for the certification and labeling of Armenian organic products, emphasizing Armenia's cultural and national identity, expressed through the pomegranate as a traditional symbol of fertility and wealth. The logo is designed to be used both as a primary version, on a light background, and as a secondary version, on a dark or green background, ensuring the logo's legibility and visibility.
The adoption of the draft government resolution will provide an opportunity to resolve issues related to the use of the "Armenia Organic" logo and will contribute to increasing Armenia's recognition as a country with high-quality organic products.
