State Department Spokesperson: American companies sign agreements  worth over $8 Billion with Azerbaijan

ArmInfo.  American companies have signed commercial agreements worth more than $8 billion with Azerbaijan,  as stated by US Assistant Secretary of  State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs Caleb Orr.

According to him, Azerbaijan is a country with rich natural resources  and significant economic development potential, and American  companies like Chevron are key players in the oil and gas industry.

"We are increasing investment in the energy sector. At the same time,  we are transforming this solid foundation into a broader platform for  economic cooperation. This week alone, American companies signed  agreements worth over $8 billion," Orr noted, according to APA.

He emphasized that the signed agreements cover a variety of areas and  are not limited to energy. "These projects also involve attracting  investment funds to Azerbaijan's energy sector. The Trump Route for  International Peace and Prosperity initiative, created as part of the  historic peace agreement brokered by US President Donald Trump, also  plays a significant role. This is a historic infrastructure corridor  in which we are also investing," the US official continued.
