ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will attend the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). He announced this during a briefing on June 18, commenting at journalists' request on his campaign promises to resolve all problematic issues within the EAEU after the elections.
At the same time, the Prime Minister noted that he is currently working on addressing these issues, as the EAEU institutions are functioning. "These are ongoing processes, and we will participate in them," the head of government said.
As a reminder, Armenian exporters are currently experiencing difficulties due to restrictions imposed by Russian authorized bodies - Rosselkhoznadzor and Rospotrebnadzor. In particular, the import of all quarantine products from Armenia and their transit through Russia to other EAEU countries are restricted.
Moreover, as Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu previously noted, Armenia exports up to 98% of its agricultural exports and 78% of its strong alcohol to the Russian market.
The next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIGC) will be held on August 6-7, 2026, in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan following the EIGC meeting held in Shymkent in May of this year.
