
ArmInfo. RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan and Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Martin Galstyan participated in the annual meeting of the Partnership Group, organized jointly with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. This was reported in a statement by the press service of the RA Ministry of Finance.
The statement noted that the meeting, held under the motto "Turning Uncertainty into Long-Term Opportunities," discussed issues of ensuring economic stability and long-term growth in the face of high uncertainty, geopolitical events, and ongoing structural transformations in the global economy.
During the meeting, Vahe Hovhannisyan held bilateral meetings with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, Treasurer General of the Ministry of Finance of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Jasper Wesseling, World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Antonella Bassani, and World Bank Vice President for Digital and Artificial Intelligence Sangbu Kim. During the meetings, the parties discussed Armenia's macroeconomic development trends, future prospects, the progress of World Bank programs in Armenia, IMF-supported programs, the results of the climate policy diagnostic mission, and future steps. They also discussed digital transformation and opportunities for deeper cooperation in this area, including initiatives aimed at developing digital infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity, and digitizing public services.
