ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia reports that, in accordance with the order of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia dated April 2, 2026, starting July 1, 2026, a document confirming conformity assessment must also be submitted to customs authorities for certain goods imported from third countries and processed through customs under the "Release for Domestic Consumption" procedure.
According to the announcement, the requirement applies to the following goods imported under the following technical regulations: perfumes and cosmetics (Customs Union Regulation 009/2011), fruit and vegetable juice products (Customs Union Regulation 023/2011), certain types of special-purpose food products, including therapeutic and preventive dietary products (Customs Union Regulation 027/2012), tobacco products (Customs Union Regulation 035/2014), and bottled drinking water, including natural mineral water (Customs Union Regulation 044/2017).
These technical regulations are not new and are already in force in the EAEU, including in the Republic of Armenia. The change requires that, starting July 1, 2026, a conformity assessment document will also be required to be provided to customs authorities when importing these goods.
The State Revenue Committee strongly recommends that importers clarify the requirements applicable to their products in advance, obtain the necessary conformity assessment documents in a timely manner, and attach them to the declaration upon submission.
