Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry opens representative  office in Armenia

ArmInfo. The Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) has opened a representative office in Armenia. The office will be headed by Elena Shevchuk, an economist, public figure, and leader of several Ukrainian-Armenian initiatives in Yerevan.

The office's activities will focus on developing trade and economic  cooperation between Ukraine and Armenia, identifying business  partners, supporting the export and import of goods and services,  facilitating investment projects, and fostering contacts between  entrepreneurs, specialized organizations, and the business  communities of the two countries.

One of the priority areas of work will be expanding economic ties  between Ukraine and Armenia.

"Currently, bilateral trade volumes remain insignificant, accounting  for less than 1% of foreign trade turnover. At the same time, there  is significant potential for developing cooperation in agricultural  products, food processing, pharmaceuticals, IT, jewelry, construction  materials, and other areas," the representative office stated on its  official Facebook page.

In connection with the launch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry  in Armenia, Elena Shevchuk noted that economics, international  cooperation, and business development are areas in which she has  worked for many years as an economist.

"Therefore, for me, this position is a natural continuation of my  professional work and a new opportunity to promote the development of  Ukrainian-Armenian relations. At the same time, all other projects  and areas in which I am involved will continue to operate as usual.  We have an excellent team that effectively manages our tasks, so this  new role will not impact the work already underway," she assured.

According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia,  foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Ukraine in January-April  2026 increased by 38.5%, amounting to $45.2 million. At the same  time, exports decreased by 5.2% to $2.8 million, against the backdrop  of import growth of 42.8% to $42.4 million.
