ArmInfo. A honey festival will be held in the village of Khors in Armenia's Vayots Dzor Province on July 25, according to the RA Tourism Committee.

The source notes that this will be the first time the festival has  been held. "During the festival, you will not only have the  opportunity to taste and discover, but also understand why Armenia's  wildlife is so unique.  Discover the rich heritage of Armenia's  wildlife. Spend an unforgettable day, participate in upcoming events,  support rural producers and local entrepreneurs, and experience the  idea of coexistence between humans and nature," the statement reads.

It emphasizes that the festival is an important step towards COP17,  the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological  Diversity. The festival is being held as part of the program  "Mitigating the Growing Conflict Between Humans and Wildlife Caused  by Climate Change."

It was funded by the UK government through the Darwin Initiative and  the Bears in Mind foundation.
