Economy Ministry and UN discuss 3-year  agricultural development plan  for Armenia 

ArmInfo. At the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and the UN Resident  Coordinator's Office in Armenia, working discussions were held to  define strategic priorities and plan actions for the development of  Armenia's agriculture over the next three years.

According to the Ministry of Economy's press service, during the  event, the parties discussed the Armenia- UN Sustainable Development  Cooperation Framework for 2026–2030, as well as key areas outlined in  strategic documents of the Armenian government, the Food and  Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UN, and the UN World Food  Programme for 2026–2030. Special attention was paid to further  expanding cooperation to promote innovative, sustainable, and  climate-resilient agriculture in Armenia.

Participants also stressed the importance of building a competitive  and inclusive agricultural system that will help strengthen the  country's food security and ensure the sustainable development of  rural communities.

During the meeting, they touched upon the upcoming 17th Conference of  the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), set  to take place in Armenia from October 18 to 30. Particular focus was  given to a specialized event scheduled within its framework dedicated  to biodiversity and agriculture. The parties noted that this will  serve as an important platform to present Armenia's experience and  approaches in this field to international partners.
