According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Discussions focused on expanding regional e-commerce, streamlining administrative procedures, and bolstering support for local entrepreneurs, with Wildberries highlighting Armenia's strategic role in regional trade.
A central focus of the meeting was addressing the fallout for merchants whose inventory was impacted by recent incidents affecting Wildberries' logistics infrastructure. Platform representatives announced that calculations are underway and that compensation and support mechanisms are entering their final stages, with further details expected soon.
According to Forbes, recent Ukrainian drone strikes impacted the marketplace, resulting in the loss of up to 9% of its warehouse capacity and an estimated 33 billion Russian rubles in restoration costs. While the company's overall financial buffer may absorb these structural hits, the situation for merchants is significantly more acute, with vendor losses estimated at a minimum of 150 billion rubles.
