ArmInfo. Exports of Armenian agricultural products to Georgia continue to expand. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Georgia.
It is noted that the first batches of Armenian agricultural products arrived on the Georgian market on July 27, 29, and 30, and further increases are planned.
In addition, negotiations regarding the sale of Armenian fish products on the Georgian market have been successfully concluded. "High-quality Armenian fish products will also become available to consumers in Georgia." The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia will continue its consistent work aimed at expanding Armenian-Georgian trade and economic cooperation and creating new opportunities for Armenian producers in the Georgian market," the diplomatic mission concluded.
As a reminder, on May 30, Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restrictions on the import of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, green vegetables, and strawberries originating and shipped from Armenia due to identified violations. The agency explained that the agricultural products supplied by Armenia did not comply with EAEU and Russian standards. Furthermore, on May 28, Rospotrebnadzor suspended the sale of 64.5 million units of Jermuk natural mineral therapeutic table carbonated drinking water in the Russian Federation.
The order was based on the manufacturer's violations of mandatory technical regulation legislation. On June 1, it was announced that restrictions would be imposed on the import of stone fruits (cherries, sweet cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines) and fresh grapes originating and shipped in the Republic of Armenia, as well as on the transit of these products to EAEU member states, starting June 2, 2026, until an appropriate algorithm for ensuring the safety of shipped products is developed. Since June 3, the import of eggplants, potatoes, dried fruits, and pome fruits has been restricted. On June 26, Russia expanded restrictions on the supply of fish products from Armenia, temporarily suspending the certification of products from two more Armenian enterprises until they eliminate previously identified violations.
